So I dunno if any of you guys watch “Sons of Anarchy.”
When I was much younger I used to do work at a body shop way out near the East Bay Dragons’ clubhouse. I know everyone claims that SAMCRO is based on the Mongols, but if you ever saw these guys roll you would swear that SOA was a (very flattering and accurate) white TV version of this club.
True outlaws in the best way possible.
I miss walking along Lake Merritt.

ah! so this is what they’re doing! (I’ve passed by and noticed all the construction work, but didn’t know exactly what this project is.)
A new waterfront park with “a waterfront bridge and path for cyclists and pedestrians”!! :DDDD
Oakland is overhauling 12th Street to improve waterfront access for pedestrians and cyclists as part of a long-running project that’s also designed to enhance Lake Merritt’s water quality.

and a complete cycle track around the lake! and new bridge that should make it bike-accessible, too, to the east side. So my mom (and other [recreational] cyclists) doesn’t have to do what she’s currently doing: bike to a point along the lake where the bike lanes end, and then turn around. sadface. But yeah, when this project is completed: :DDDD

oaktown indie mayhem film festival tomorrow night.
I’m screening a music video and maybe a short film at this tomorrow night in the east bay. there will be so many cool goings on and my friends zola and chloe will be playing a set. if anyone is in Oakland tomorrow night stop by and support us.
it was a day swimming at the lake and drinking sangria with K, and then dinner with my lady at Lake Chalet complete with good wine and a warm Bourbon Furnace cocktail and then an authentic Venetian Gondola ride, complete with singing Italian, around Lake Merritt. WIN. Best anniversary ever.
