Egyptians march from Tahrir Square to support Occupy Oakland protestors
Egyptian pro-democracy protesters marched from Tahrir square to the U.S. Embassy today to march in support of Occupy Oakland—and against the type of police brutality witnessed in Oakland on Tuesday night, and commonly experienced in Egypt.
It’s just unbelievable that the Mayor told the media it was a peaceful dispersion. Did she really think she could cover this up? Cover up the raid, and then cover up Scott Olsen and the others like him?

Occupy Oakland is more than just a speak-out or a camp out. The purpose of our gathering here is to plan actions, to mobilize real resistance, to defend ourselves from the economic and physical war that is being waged against our communities.
